your motor looks exact what I need but mine had a small resistor? in a clear piece of tubing taped to the old motor and I believe its bad as well will I need this with the new motor?

If you are referring to one of the Ventline P, S0721, B, and T Series range hood, the Replacement 12-Volt DC Fan Motor for Ventline RV Range Hood # BVD0218-00-R would not require you to use a resistor or fuse to install it. It sounds like you could be replacing an older style motor, which if so means you will need a new fan blade like part # BVD0216-00. If the main body of your motor measures 2 inches then you have an older model motor. See picture.
