The difficulty really just depends on how comfortable you are with electronics. It really is more time consuming than difficult though. There are 20 wires that need to be connected to the correct functions. The wires are installed on a connector that plugs right into the back of the stereo. The functions that these wires connect to are highlighted in the instructions.
