Question:
Replacement Hot water heater anode- I have a Suburban model SW10DE heater in my RV. I am looking for a compatible anode that has either aluminum or plastic threaded nut instead of steel, corrosion on steel makes it very hard to get loose, notice CAMCO rods, cant tell if steel or not...are you able to tell which one, like this one if it will work-CAM11533

Expert Reply:
The Camco RV Water Heater Anode Rod # CAM11563 is the only aluminum anode rod we currently have available. This particular rod is designed for Suburban (Mor-Flo) heaters so it should work nicely with your existing unit. You can also compare its 3/4 inch diameter and 9-1/2 inch length to your current rod to verify its compatibility.
The Camco RV Water Heater Anode Rod # CAM11533 that you referenced is designed for Atwood-style heaters, so this will not fit your Suburban model.
