Question:
Hey, there. I bought these mirrors for my 2008 Tundra and the work as advertised, but I need something that sticks out even further for my passenger side mirror. Im towing a 2011 Forest River Work and Play and it is fairly wide. With the above passenger side mirror I can only see the front right corner of the trailer. I cant see the side of it and, most importantly, when Im passing vehicles on the Interstate I cannot see when Im clear to get back over. Ive seen your other mirrors that Im considering. Some of their specs say they extend 17. I measured the distance of my CIPA 10700s from the side of the door outward and theyre actually a tad over 17inch from that surface. For example, the mirror that clamps onto the existing mirror frame, it says it extends 17, but is that from the side of the door, or from its mounting point? Please help me to spec out a passenger side mirror that will fill my needs, and thanks.

Your best option would be a door mirror part # WM6600-2. This can mount to the side of the door of your Tundra and will allow you the ability to extend out the mirror much further than what you have. These will extend out to 18 inches from the fender to give you a very wide viewing angle. You wouldn't want to go further than 18 inches as you might clip the mirror on things as you travel.
