Question:
I am looking at Reese Hitch Adapter - RP45292 34inch extension to pull my enclosed cargo trailer 7 x 14 dual axle. Max weight rating for the Reese hitch is 4,500 lbs. I will be pretty close to that weight when the trailer is loaded 4,200 lbs or so My truck camper is about 3,200 lbs. The tongue weight for the trailer is about 325 lbs. I am driving a F-350 diesel dually, I should be fine with payload capacity. Heres my question. - I was looking at the SuperHitch but those seem fairly pricy and might be overkill for what I need possibly? Do you think I can get by with the Reese hitch adapter? I want to feel and be safe when towing for sure. Ill be traveling all over the country pulling this trailer with the truck camper on it. Thanks for any advice and tips.

If you were planning only a one-time or occasional/annual tow using the Reese Hitch Extension # RP45292 then I would say you're good to go, but since you will be making an extended trip with your in-bed camper and towed cargo trailer AND using this item near its maximum capacity I would urge you to consider the TorkLift hitch option instead.
Yes, this 2-1/2-inch hitch # TLF1008-30 carries a beefy price tag to go along with its equally beefy capabilities - a 2500-lb tongue weight rating! - but in the spirit of 'you-get-what-you-pay-for' AND since you have a serious new truck that is likely to spend many years in service for you, I would say go for it and install the TorkLift.
