Question:

Hello, Can you tell me the difference between the Thule 811 sup shuttle which I believe is discontinued and the newer version the 811xt? Ive seen on the box the original 811 only carries 1 board where the newer XT version looks identical but says it can carry two boards. Although Ive seen online on a few sites the original CAN carry two boards. Confused. Please help!

Both the 811 and the # TH811XT can hold 2 boards. I personally searched the manuals for both products to verify this. The 811 was a first run so it likely has parts that are riveted together rather than using screws. Generally that is how Thule does things and it is so they have to get the parts back, in this case the 811, to determine what happened to it and how they can make it better with the next generation of the same part; the XT. So basically, minor changes.
