Troubleshooting Tail Light That Stays on All the Time

Question:
Ford put the kit on my escape. It has worked well for a year. Yesterday we shut the lights off and the right rear light stays on trailer. I used a tester that plugs into the plug in on the truck and the light for the right tail light shown on. plug in is a four pin plug in

If your tail light is remaining on then there is likely a short somewhere in the wiring that is causing power on that circuit to remain on. You need to check all of the wiring from your connector to try and find any that are crimped or damaged. Also be sure to take a look at your connectors to see if they are corroded or dirty as that can also be the issue.
