Question:
I have a Thor 24.1 motorhome with a 9 x 4 inch rear bumper. Do you have a spare tire carrier to fit this bumper. Thanks

Expert Reply:
The 9 x 4-inch bumper on your 25-foot Thor 24.1 Class A motor coach is pretty large as RV bumpers go. The bolt-on spare tire carriers we have fit bumpers/trailer frames up to 5-inches.
You can use a hitch-mount tire carrier like # RM-195225 from Roadmaster. This works with all wheel bolt patterns, on 16-inch to 24-1/2-inch wheels and it includes a 2-inch receiver opening to allow you to retain use of the rear hitch for flat towing a vehicle or for using a hitch-mount accessory. We also have more basic hitch tire carriers like # C31006 and # 6715 but these do not have a receiver like the Roadmaster.
All of our types of tire carriers are shown on the linked page.
You can inquire with Thor (using the RV's VIN) to find out if the bumper has the weight capacity and strength needed to allow you to bolt on another type of tire carrier. They certainly will have had similar inquiries before and should be able to offer the best advise for their quality coach product.
