Question:
I have a tray that we put in our receiver to carry bicycles. When the bicycles are not on it we want to store it upright at 90 degrees but our hitch does not change. could we use product Item # C45013 for this? It would only bear the weight of the tray as temporary storage for when parking space and tray storage is an issue.

Expert Reply:
The Curt Vertical Receiver Adapter # C45013 is designed to be used with what are called Curt Stealth hitches that point down and because of that would not work for your outward facing. Your best option to get the space you need when parked is going to be using a folding bike rack like the Swagman Chinook # S64683; I have added a link to our selection of fold-up racks for you to check out if you're interested.
