Deteriming Boat Trailer Wheel and Tire Diameter And Size

Question:

My boat trailer has ST215/75R13 on it and I was wondering how much higher a 15 inch rim and tire would be? I have a limited clearance with the trailer fender.

For your tire, its complete diameter is 25.69 inches by 8.46 inches wide. I've included a link to a quick article that explains how to calculate the complete dimensions in inches.

For comparison, if you buy an ST225/75R15 tire and wheel set like part # TA24VR, its complete dimension is a 28.31 inches in diameter by 8.78 inches wide. An ST205/75R15 tire and wheel set like part # TA67VR, has a complete dimension of 27 inches diameter by 7.99 wide.

We recommend 4 inches of clearance between each tire and the wheel well. Be sure that you match your bolt pattern and offset as well.
