Can Grade 8 Carriage Bolts be Used to Install Demco 5th Wheel Installation Kit DM8552027-71

Question:
Hello, quick question on the 4 bolts used to hold down the rails in the bed. Could the 4 hex bolts and plates that hold down the rails through the bed to the brackets be changed out to grade 8 carriage bolts with the nuts and lock washers put on from below? Just to avoid having a hex nut stick up on top of the bed rails? thanks

There are both hex bolts and carriage bolts included to attach the above bed rails to the under bed brackets in 5th wheel installation kit # DM8552027-71. They are grade 5 though. If you wanted to get grade 8 hardware locally you certainly could do that.
