The Heininger HitchMate Extendable Hitch-Mounted Step for 2-inch hitches, part # HE4045, will extended out from the end of your hitch receiver tube by 3-inches when it is fully retracted into its storage position. When fully extended to its maximum length it can be up to 12-1/2-inches from your receiver opening. This gives you lots of options for putting the step surface right where you need it.
The step includes a lockable hitch pin to secure the step to your hitch and it offers a substantial 500-lb weight rating even when fully extended.
