Recommended Air Lift Springs for 2002 Ford F-350 and Air Compressor Able to Be Used For Tires Too

Published 02/22/2018

Question:

I see a wide variety of spring assist air bags under Load LIfter 5000 for my 2002 Ford F-350 super Duty Pickup. I do have rails in the bed for the 5th wheel hitch, but the connectors for them are well in front of and behind the actual differential tube, so I dont think I need the special 5TH Wheel kit. I would prefer to have the air bags not hang on external brackets, but actually bit between the frame and differential tube. Which of the various products do I need? I also would like to be able to put the automatic switch with gauage in the cab, and would like a more heavy duty compressor that could be Td off to air up trailer tires if need be. I understand that will required a petcock shut off to the spring assist. Can you help me assemble all the parts that I need?

There is not a fit for your truck that doesn't use the brackets that attach under and beside the frame of your truck and to the axle tube. I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57393. These springs will give you the support you need and will allow you to mount directly to your axle as you desired.

For your compressor, I recommend the Air Lift QuickShot Compressor System for Air Springs - Support Line and Reserve Tank - Dual Path # AL25572. This will give you everything you need to have the individual function of each air bag and the ability to air up your trailer tires as needed. This will be a great system for your desired function and will give you the gauge and switch in the cab of your truck. I've attached the installation details to assist.
