Recommended Backup Sensor Warning System for 2014 BMW 328xit Wagon
Published 02/15/2018 >
Question:
Were looking for a recommendation for a bacjk up warning system to be installed in a 2014 BMW 328xit wagon. It seems like the only 4 sensor system you offer requires an additional multiplexer and camera w/ display. The others are either 2 sensor systems or a licens plate mount. How good are the 2 sensor systems w/ corner coverage?

The Hopkins Backup Sensor System - Audible Alert - License Bracket Mount # HM60100VA has 2 sensors that work very well for most applications and can detect objects to start beeping at up to 5-1/2 feet away. The warning alarm beeps more frequently as objects enter each of 3 warning zones. I've attached a photo and a video to assist.
The other option that doesn't require a camera but does allow for additional sensors is the # RVS-115. This system is a separate unit that gives you the audible alerts with a similar warning style as the Hopkins unit, but will allow you to add sensors where you desire to increase the corner coverage if you desire that. This would be a safer system due to the ability to move sensors to your desired locations but it is a more extensive installation. I've attached an install video to assist.
