I am interested in 7/8 inch thumb turn cam locks to do they come with the tail piece latch plate to hold the cabinet shut?

Yes, the Cam Lock Latch # CAM44323 comes with the plate to hold the door shut and then the pivoting piece that turns when unlocked and allows the cabinet to open.
