Can Old Single Pivot HiJacker Ultra Slide be Converted to the Double Pivot Head

Question:

I ordered the parts to convert it and that part went beautifully. I ran into a little problem though. I went to have the hitch rail installed and they said they do not have frame brackets to mount the rails to. The rails that I have mount with one bolt on each side ( 2 bolts per rail). Do you know if there is a frame bracket kit to mount the Hijack Ultra slide rails with for a 2016 Dodge Ram short bed 4x4?

It looks like you have and older version of # DM6076P-UL-16K. I spoke with my contact over at Demco and he said that you can indeed replace the saddle on your hitch with # DM5990 and the head with # DM6076 to have a double pivot head to your hitch. No other parts will be needed.

Thank you for answer my question. I have one more question, does the replacement head come with the dampeners and would I need anything else to do the conversion.

The rubber pieces that prevent the hitch head from clunking against the center section are included. You should not have to do anything else other than replace the 2 parts on your hitch with the 2 new parts using the same hardware!

We do have a bracket kit that can be used with 4-bolt rails. If your Ram is a 1500 you can use bracket kit # HT31413. Please note the brackets listed above will not fit vehicles with factory Air Suspension system. If your Ram is a 2500 you can use kit # HT32556. If your Ram is a 3500 you can use kit # HT32221. If for whatever reason the brackets, or more specifically the mounting hardware, won't work with your rails then you would also need new rails, # HT30686.
