Should the control light up when brake is pressed when not connected to the trailer.

Curt brake controllers like the TriFlex # C24VV should show a red light when the brake pedal is pressed, even when the trailer is not connected. This is just the way that Curt designed them to show they are still receiving the signal even though they are not sending it to a trailer.
