Quickly Adjusting the Security Bolts on the Rhino Rack Nautic System
Updated 01/22/2018 | Published 01/20/2018 >
Question:
I use a number of different kayaks and need to regularly change pad positions. Can I use some other type of bolts to avoid the hassles of adjusting with the Allen security wrench? I have Thule aeroblade bars and I understand the RR570 will fit these. Let me know if Im incorrect on this.

I have a solution for you, but if you've already purchased the Clamp-On Nautic system, part # RR570, there's no good way to replace the security bolts and it still fit correctly on your Thule bars.
However, the C-Channel Nautic, part # RR580 does fit in the channels of the Thule AeroBlade, and uses optional locking covers over a hand knob to tighten the carrier into the channel. You can leave the carrier's cover off for easy access to the hand knob, and quickly move the carrier left and right as you need to.
