Has anyone used this for children's play dishes? Being this is a smaller size, would this work well for pretend dishes??

There's no reason you couldn't use the Camco Mini Dish Drainer and Tray # CAM43511 as a toy for children it is a bit smaller too like you mentioned at 11.69" long x 9.5" wide x 4.75" tall.
