Helpful Expert Reply:
The Kat's Heaters Oil and Coolant Immersion Heater # KH30904 is a 3-3/4" long immersion heater which simply screws into either the oil pan or engine block of your vehicle. Once inserted you'll only need to route the power cord through the grille and plug it in and it'll be ready to go. The cord does detach from the screw-in element so you won't need to permanently route the cord.
