Question:

Hello, I have a 2017 Jeep Wrangler sport and my email is in reference to the Rampage Mass Articulation Front Recovery Bumper for Jeep - Grille Guard, Light Mounts, Winch Plate Item # RA88509. Can I attach my tow bar to the front points of the Rampage mass articulation front recovery bumper, and when installing to my Jeep, do i have to relocate any stock parts or can i just bolt on and go! Thank you!

I do have an option for you but a tow bar cannot be attached directly to the Rampage Mass Articulation Front Recovery Bumper part # RA88509 as the manufacturer stated it is not rated for this application. However, I was able to confirm with my contact at Blue-Ox that the above bumper will work with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX1134.

The Rampage bumper will not require you to alter any factory components for installation. There are four bolts holding on each side of the bumper that will need to be removed. Once the four bolts are removed you can then place the aftermarket bumper into the factory slots and use the included nuts, bolts, and spacers to reattach.

For a tow bar that is compatible with the Blue-Ox base plates, I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar part # BX7380. The Blue-Ox tow bar has telescopic arms which eliminates binding and come with safety cables. In order to complete your flat towing setup you will also need a supplemental braking system, wiring harness, and possible high-low adapter. If you would like for me to recommend these additional parts for you please let me know and I would be happy to do so.
