What color wires on a 6 pin trailer will connect to what color wires on a 7 pin tow vehicle

If you are just needing to connect the 7-Way on your tow vehicle to the 6-Way on your trailer, I recommend using the Hopkins 7-Way to 6-Pole Adapter # HM47085 or # HM47083. These two adapters differ only in what the center pin is used for.
If the center pin on your trailer side connector is for the electric brake signal, you will use # HM47085. If the center pin on the trailer connector is for 12-volt power, you will instead use # HM47083.
One end of the adapter will plug into the 7-Way on your tow vehicle and the other end will connect to the 6-Way on the trailer.
