Question:

Hi. Interested in the Access Lorado roll up cover for 2018 Honda Ridgeline. My question - with tailgate closed and locked, is cover then locked and secure i.e., preventing theft from items in bed? Or does it require separate lock? If so, what do you recommend.

The Access Lorado Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover part # A46039 for your 2018 Honda Ridgeline will require access to inside the truck bed in order for the cover to be opened. Therefore, yes while the tailgate is closed and locked the cover cannot be opened. There is a pull string on the underside of the cover that will release the latches on the side of the cover allowing it to then roll open towards the cab.

If you are also looking for a tailgate lock that can be controlled with your key fob, I recommend taking a look at the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock part # PAL8600. The powered tailgate lock wires into the existing power door locks, so when you lock your truck, you lock your tailgate
