Question:
If an HBA-CAM is installed on a trailer to work with a GM tow vehicle, will there be an issue if connecting the trailer to other brand tow vehicles and/or controllers that do not require the HBA-CAM?

It depends on what the serial number of his HydraStar HBA-16 is. If the serial number is 506100 or higher, then he would be able to use the # HBA-CAM with his brake controller. If the serial number is below 506100, then he would need a new brake controller that is compatible such as the Prodigy P3 # 90195.
