Question:
I just acquired a Karrite box at an auction. It came without a key. Where do I find the model number so I can order the right key?

The Karrite rooftop boxes often use the hook style latch. Most models will use the Replacement Lock Cores and Keys for SportRack Explorer Cargo Box - Qty 2 # SR03807. This kit comes with the lock core and keys.
If you don't have this style of lock, then I recommend looking at the lock core itself and seeing if there is a number printed on the face of it. There may be a key available for that lock core if you let me know what that number is. Often Thule keys are used in these boxes, and then you simply use the 3 or 4 digit number on the lock behind THKEYN as the part number. For example, if the lock core has the number 2820, then the replacement key would be # THKEYN2820.
