Should tape be used with this hose

Since the Camco Propane Hose Assembly # CAM59913 that you referenced has flare fittings on either end, teflon tape is not required. If you want to use it you can, but it will not do very much for this application like it would for a fitting that is not a quick disconnect (which doesn't require the use of teflon tape) or a flare.
