Question:
Trailer valet xl I have the 2” ball can the 2 5/16 ball just be changed out using the same base?

Expert Reply:
The bases for the 2 inch ball and 2-5/16 inch ball are the same for the Trailer Valet XL models, so you can swap out one diameter ball for the other. My contact at Trailer Valet says it will just take a good wrench to remove the 2 inch ball and install the 2-5/16 inch ball into your existing base. So you could use just the part # TVHB25 for a new ball if you wanted to.
If you would like to be able to switch between the 2 inch ball and 2-5/16 inch ball more easily, you can use the 2-5/16 Inch Hitch Ball with Base for Trailer Valet XL # TVBB25. This hitch ball will come with the base already installed and will make it easier to switch back and forth between the hitch balls.
