Adapter Recommendation for Propane Appliance to go From RV Supply to 1 lb Tank

Updated 02/28/2020 | Published 10/10/2017

Question:

Hi, Im looking for a propane adapter that will allow me attach my hose, which is fitted now to attach to a 20lb tank, to a 1lb tank. I need to use the existing hose since it has the right regulator, I just want to be able to attach it to a 1lb tank instead of a 20lb. What should I use? Thanks!

Sounds like what you are looking for is the part # 204132-MBS this is designed to go from an RV Type 1 style fitting to a throwaway cylinder style fitting like what your smaller tank would have.

Or if the fitting style you have is POL like what newer propane tanks have you'd need the part # CAM59943.

I also attached a link below that has a FAQ article that covers all of the different propane fitting types for you to check out and compare what you have if you are unsure.

I have a Olympia 5500 with a low pressure quick connect to connect to my Rv. Looking for an adapter that will connect to the low pressure hose that I can connect to a 1lb propane tank. I don’t want to always us the the RV port. I had previously ordered the propane adapter but does not have a quick connect port.

To hook up your Olympian 5500 to a throwaway 1 pound tank you would just need the Camco Hose # CAM57629, which will connect to the grill's quick disconnect fitting, along with the Adapter # CAM59213, which will connect to the regulator at the other end so you can hook up to the small tank.
