I took a look at the online owner's manual for your 2016 Ford Escape and it looks like the trailer tow module fuse will be located in the F26 position inside the luggage compartment fuse panel. This fuse panel is in the luggage compartment behind the passenger side wheel well. It should be a 40 amp fuse.
I do recommend verifying this in your copy of the owner's manual, as it's possible you have a different model vehicle.
If you are having a specific issue with your trailer lights when towing, please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to offer some troubleshooting suggestions.
