From What Material is the 2 inch Adapter for the Swagman Replacement Shank # P306 Made

What is the adapter made out of? Is it plastic or metal? If its plastic do they make a metal adapter? Thanks,

I spoke with my contact at Swagman and he informed me that the sleeve that is on the replacement 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch shank for Swagman XC series bike carriers, part # P306 is made of 100 percent steel. The adapter allows the shank to fit 2 inch trailer hitches.
