Can Zerk Fittings of Wet Bolts on the E-Z Flex K71-652-00 Face In or Out
Published 08/30/2017 >
Question:
I noted on your installation video the wet bolts went in from the outside and this means the zerk fittings will be behind the tires. Would it be OK to install the bolts from the inside out to put the zerks inside where they could be serviced from under the trailer with the tires on? Also, I was wondering if the grease which works its way out of the sleeve onto the rubber spring eye bushing could cause early deterioration of that material.

Expert Reply:
The wet bolts of the E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System # K71-652-00 could be ran from the inside facing out or the outside facing in so either way would work well. If you wanted to have the zerk fittings on the inside of the trailer you certainly could.
Grease would not cause the bushing to fail either.
