The best standard mount transmission cooler for your 2015 Mazda CX9 is the largest one you have space available for in front of your radiator behind your grill. I recommend using the Derale 19-Row Stacked-Plate Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13403 as this is a fairly large standard mount transmission cooler that features a plate and fin technology which is far superior to the industry standard tube and fin design. As long as you have 13" wide x 7-5/16" tall x 2" deep of space in front of your radiator behind your grill, this transmission cooler will work well for you.
For a remote mount transmission cooler (W/ Fan), I recommend using the Derale 16-Pass Electra-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan part # D13900. This transmission cooler is the most efficient type of transmission cooler we offer because of the ability this transmission cooler has to cool your vehicle's transmission fluid at low speeds and while idling. The dimensions of this cooler are 15-3/4" Wide x 11-1/2 " tall x 5" deep. Therefore, the likelihood of being able to mount this transmission cooler in front of your radiator behind your grill is slim to none. However, this is not necessary as the air flow to this transmission cooler is continuous via the attached fan and can be mounted anywhere on the vehicle in which space is available.
