Question:

Hi. I have a 2014 Lexus RX350. It does not have the factory tow package. I installed a CURT receiver on it and need to install lighting wiring. I would like to buy this item: Item #119250KIT After installing that what more do I need to get a trailer bed with a trailer bed with a standard lighting connector to connect to whatever this kit provides? Do I need to buy another special connector that connects to this kit and provides a receptacle to connect a trailer beds lighting to? Thanks

Sounds like your end goal is to install a 7-way on your 2014 Lexus RX 350. You are on the right track. The first thing you need is a 4-way like the part # 119250KIT which is confirmed as a fit.

Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way.

If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
