Question:

Hello, I recently purchased the Westin R5 Nerf Bars for my 2017 F150 SuperCrew. They look great however, I really notice how much lower these bars sit when compared to factory bars and all other bars I see around.. Are they meant to sit 2/12 -3inch lower than a factory Ford set of bars.? and my second question, is there another set of mounting brackets that would make them sit higher closer to the rocker panels.?

I do have a nerf bar option that's mounts much closer to the factory rocker panels on your 2017 Ford F-150 than the Westin R5 Nerf Bars part # 28-51095 in the DeeZee Oval Tube Steps w Custom Installation Kit part # DZ16421-16327 which is placed about 1-2" down from the door jamb.

However, the westin nerf bars are designed to sit about 2-3 inches below the factory side steps. Unfortunately, neither we nor Westin offers brackets that change the height of the nerf bars. The dimensions and look of both nerf bars are similar for the exception of their mounting height.
