Question:
I was wanting to get the following receiver to add to my leaf but was curious if you knew if installing it would void my warranty with Nissan? Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4 Item # C11396

I took a look at the Nissan Leaf Warranty Information Booklet and could not find specific information regarding a trailer hitch. These types of details are often left vague, so to be certain you should call your Nissan dealer to find out if Curt hitch # C11396 will void the warranty.
Speaking of warranties, should you end up with the Curt hitch, you would need to use stabilizing straps # 18050 in order not to void the warranty of the hitch. They are not difficult to use and I've added a link to a video demonstrating that. I've also added a link to a video of a hitch being installed on a 2017 Leaf so you can see how the process works.
