I cannot be certain as to what nerf bars you currently have on your 2007 Mercury Mountaineer, however I can provide provide you with a replacement nerf bar pad that has nearly the same dimensions as the one's provided. For this, you will want to use the Replacement Step Pad for Westin E-Series Nerf Bars part # 23-0001.
These replacement pads have a dimension of 21" long x 3" wide. In order to ensure an exact fit, you will want to measure the peg spacing of your nerf pads, I have attached the peg spacing of our replacement nerf pads for you. The distance from the outer peg forward is as follows: 3-5/8", 5-5/8", 6-3/8", and 3-5/8".
If you choose to replace your current nerf bars, I recommend using the Westin E-Series Round Nerf Bars part # 23-3040.
