Replacement pad and bar have difference sized holes. Bar 7/16inch and pad 3/16inch What do I do now?

Thank you for the photo of your 2007 Silverado's nerf bar for which you are looking for replacement step pads like # 23-0001 that you referenced. Nerf bar replacement parts are brand- and item-specific. Pads have mounting posts on their underside that have a diameter and spacing to match up to the holes in the bars.

The best way to find the correct replacement step pads is to find a brand name on the original bar or pad. That will help narrow down the available replacement parts. You might check the underside of the bar for any branding or part numbers.

I notice that the 5 holes in your bars are not laid out in a straight line; the three center holes appear to lean out away from the vehicle. The various replacement pads we offer often have their mounting posts arranged in a straight line. Other patterns are available, such as 6-post and 4-post pads, and ones like Westin # 22-5002 which are 18 x 4-inches and that use 5 posts in a staggered pattern. I checked all of our replacement pads and could not find one that matched your hole pattern.

Do note that Westin pads require barrel clips # 23-0002 for oval bars. These slip over the pad's posts and then engage with the holes in the step. If your steps require such clips and they are missing then this would explain the variance in dimensions.

You will then see all step products offered for your truck. This may help you identify the brand of your steps.
