Recommended Base Plates to Fit 2014 and 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

Can or will the 2014 Chevy fit the 2017 Chevy 1500s or if not can the 2014 Demco be safely modified to fit the 2017?

The Roadmaster Base Plate Kits that we have available for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, such as the XL Base Plate Kit # RM-3176-1, are also confirmed to fit the 2017 Silverado 1500. These XL Series Base Plates feature hidden brackets that will attach to the truck frame to provide attachment points for your tow bar. The visible portions of the brackets can be removed for a nice clean look when you are not towing. These are compatible with all Roadmaster tow bars.

I have attached the written instructions along with an installation video on the 2014 Silverado for you to check out.

I do not recommend modifying your existing base plates. If you are able to provide me with the model number of your existing Demco base plates, I will be happy to check and see if they will work on both truck model years.
