Question:
I will be using a winch mounted in my 06 Tundra to repeatedly raise and lower a 270lb, 2 wheeled generator in and out of the bed. I am deciding between both the Erickson steel and aluminum tri-fold ramp sets. Other than the aluminum ramps being 4lb lighter, is there any other consideration that would steer me towards the higher priced aluminum set?

The Erickson Arched Loading Ramp Set - Steel - 72" Long x 9" Wide - 1,000 lbs # EM07435 or # EM07434 are not only lighter but because they are aluminum are corrosion resistant. The steel ramps like # EM07464 are powder coated, but may begin to rust if that powder coat is chipped. Thefolding design will make them easier to maneuver over the bi-folt, but both materials are strong and durable.
