How Does Brake Controller Install in 2017 Volkswagen Touareg

Question:

Hi - I just bought the tekonsha prodigy P3 from you. i have also previously installed another P3 in a GMC savana 2500 that I used to own, w/o any factory 7 pin or wiring On installing the p3 controller in a 2017 VW touareg that has the factory hitch and 7 PIN hitch plug....is it just a matter of finding the under dash plug/ wire harness assembly and plugging it into P3, or do I need to splice the supplied molex connector onto the factory wiring to mate with the P3? after mounting it somewhere close to that under dash Thanks!

Installing a brake controller in a 2017 Volkswwagen Touareg requires a bit more than a standard brake controller install.
