What Retractable Three- or Four-Bike Rack is Recommended for a 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid?

Is there a good option for a retractable 3 or 4 bike carrier for a 2010 hybrid Ford Escape? The vehicle does not currently have a trailer hitch. Thanks

You mentioned that you do not have a hitch, but there is a very good retractable trunk-mounted rack option for your 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid.

I recommend going with the Thule OutWay 3-Bike Rack, # TH56BV, which has anti-sway cradles that secure your bikes at three points, No-Sway cages which prevent the bikes from contacting each other or your Escape, and a weight capacity of 99 lbs. The OutWay also has 2 retractable cables to secure the rack to your car, with ratcheting knobs to adjust the cables. Thule also has a FitDial system to make mounting the rack as simple as possible; just find the number that corresponds to a 2010 Ford Escape and the rack will adjust to fit.
