If you have average mechanical abilities and basic tools this Curt, part # C11041, would take about 40 minutes to install on your 2001 Ford Mustang.
I attached installation instructions below that detail exactly how the # C11041 will install on your Mustang, there are also many useful diagrams that show how it all comes together too.
You will need the following tools:
13 mm wrench, 15 mm wrench, 11/16 inch wrench, torque wrench, a drill with a 1/4 inch drill bit, 7/16 inch drill bit, and a 1 inch hole saw.
