I have always liked the Chevy Volt. I like the tail lights and look of the rear end. We have not had the chance yet to install Curt trailer hitch # C11221 on a 2013 Chevy Volt. But if you are near Wentzville, Missouri we would love to have the vehicle in to do some test fits! I have included a link to the installation instructions for you though.

If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.

Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements. I have linked the Class I compatible 2-bike racks and cargo carriers for you.
