Best Option for Fifth Wheel Towing that Gives Turning Clearance and Cushioned Ride
Published 05/17/2017 >
Question:
I have a jayco eagle super lite 31.5 FBHS and a 2007 Chevy Classic 2500HD short bed Diesel and Im in need of a hitch? What recommendations for a smooth ridereduced bucking, etc and proper clearance, less hassle? There are so many options... Thought about sidewinder, want hitch that be removed by one person, and one that does not require lots of in/out of cab to maneuver. Any suggestions? Thanks

A Sidewinder with a 5th Airborne built into it would be your absolute best solution. You'd get the turning clearance plus the cushioning from the 5th Airborne. But to pick one out we have to know what pin box your trailer currently has. You will need to find the plate or sticker on the pin box that has the model number listed. A very common one is Lippert 1621.
With that you will need to check out the link I attached that has a chart at the bottom with the matching Sidewinder for each pin box.
