I bought a truck from a buddy and Was wondering if I can put my truck back to stock tune using an edge cts3 if the truck was tuned using a ppe programmer

I spoke to Edge to be completely sure and there are a couple of options for you to return the truck back to stock.
The first, and obvious, option is to take your truck to a GM dealership and have them flash the PCM back to stock. This is the recommended way.
However, if you purchase an Edge CTS3, like EP69YR, for your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with the 6.6 L diesel, there is software available from Edge to return the truck to stock. However, according to Edge there is a small chance it can disable your truck doing it this way. Hence, it's recommended to take it to a dealer.
