Do the Thule K-Summit Tires Meet the Colorado Snow Chain Regulations

Question:
I have purchased your chain TH02230K44 for my Buick Regal 2002 and been waiting for delivery. I have a question though: How can I be assure that the system of gripping on only one lug nut bolt is firm enough? Noting that Colorado law requires that Colorado Signs along the roadway indicate when a vehicle must be chained. The metal chains must consist of two circular metal loops, one on each side of the tire, connected by not less than nine evenly spaced chains across the tire tread. My concern is: the model TH02230K44 does not meet this Colorado state requeriments. Is this model just easy to use but not safe and secure enough? Thanks for your techincal support.

I spoke with my contact at Thule and he informed me that the regulations for snow chain design stem from the states wanting to prevent damage to the roads. He informed me that these Thule - K-Summit Chains, part # TH02230K44, meet the S-standard which is the international norm for chain construction in regards to designs that do not damage the roads beneath them.
When I asked him about Colorados specific rules he said that the K-Summit chains are used all over the world and he has never heard of any issues with these chains not being legal anywhere and he assured me they would be legal in Colorado.
These chains are are self-centering and self-tensioning, although they are easy to install and remove they are very secure and safe to use.
I attached a couple FAQ articles on snow chains below for you to check out.
