Question:
I have a used 2013 Rockwood Freedom camper with AL-KO T35 axle and 10 X 2 1/4 electric brakes. The manual gives the LH actuator lever as p/n 568122/60282901 AL-KO/Hayes respectively. Is the Dexter BP02-170 the correct replacement part, as I think Dexter may have taken over part of the business from AL-KO? The manual also lists K568111/ML44 AL-KO/Hayes as the OE magnet with white wire. The current part has green wires, and the AL-KO website lists a different p/n K568119 with green wire for this application. Does the wire color signify voltage or something else meaningful, as I have seen the wire color specified. I have so far been unable to get a response for a call I placed to the AL-KO customer line. Would Dexter BP01-110 be the correct magnet for this application?

It can be a challenge some times to determine the correct replacement parts for a given trailer or brake assembly. I did some checking and brake magnet # BP01-110 is correct for Hayes/AL-KO 10 x 2-1/4 inch brakes. To be honest I am not certain what the wire color indicates since magnets now pretty much all use the same wire color for both wires. I was under the impression that it helped identify the year range brake assembly that magnet goes with.
However the replacement actuator arms are not available as an aftermarket replacement part. When AL-KO gets back with you then you can inquire about those particular replacement parts.
