If your customer is wanting to get by with the best priced fifth wheel hitch setup for his 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 with a 5-1/2 foot bed we can help but due to the incredibly short bed length he has he's going to have to use special slider hitch.
There's only one slider hitch that has a far enough range for as short of a bed as his truck and its the Demco Hijacker 13k part # DM8550040 that can slide 22-1/2 inches. For a rail kit you then would want the part # DM8552009-71 which is confirmed as a fit for his truck.
