Expert Reply:
The 2011 Ford F-150 should have come with either a 4-Way flat or 7-Way blade style trailer connector. In both cases, there is a factory port located behind the center console for a brake controller wiring harness # 22292. I have included a link to the installation details for the harness that shows the functions of the pins and explains installation.
The wiring on the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 brake controller, # 90885, is as follows:
White is ground
Blue is brake output to the trailer connector
Black is 12 volt power to the brake controller
Red is for the stop light switch
