Recommended Weight Distribution Drop Shank For 63970 Pro Series System
Updated 04/25/2017 | Published 04/23/2017 >
Question:
I had an F250 2000 Super Duty and just bought a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500. It appears the Ram is taller by about 2-3 inches. It would be nice to just upgrade the system that I have and not have to buy a completely new system. Can I just change out the shank that goes into the receiver? What do I need to do to get the right part? 63970 Pro Series

For your Pro Series weight distribution system on your 2012 Dodge Ram 3500, I recommend the Pro Series WD Shank - 14" Long - 4-3/4" or 6-1/2" Drop - 1.5K TW # RP63971. This will account for the 2-3 inches of drop you mentioned whether using round bar or trunnion bars.
